Our client is a leading international brand responsible for providing innovative, affordable, and high quality pharma products. We’re looking to hire a Key Account Manager for Chain Pharmacy based in Malaysia to drive business growth and strong account engagement.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers in chain pharmacies (e.g., pharmacy directors, purchasing managers, category managers, and retail executives).
  • Track and report sales performance, product availability, and promotional effectiveness across the pharmacy chain.
  • Drive sales growth across the entire chain pharmacy network by identifying new business opportunities and cross-selling or upselling products within the chain.
  • Provide in-depth product knowledge and clinical support to pharmacy managers, pharmacists, and sales associates within the chain.
  • Develop and implement promotional campaigns and marketing materials that support the sales of pharmaceutical products within the chain pharmacy.
  • Oversee negotiations with central purchasing and procurement teams to secure product placement, volume purchases, and favorable contract terms across the pharmacy chain.
  • Collaborate with the supply chain and logistics teams to ensure product availability across the chain, avoiding stockouts, and ensuring timely deliveries to meet pharmacy needs.
  • Monitor competitor activities, industry trends, and pricing changes, providing actionable insights to guide sales strategies and enhance competitive positioning.

 

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
  • 3-5 years of experience in key account management or sales in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry, with a focus on managing chain pharmacies.
  • Strong sales and negotiation skills, with a proven track record in driving sales growth in a multi-location environment.
  • Ability to analyze sales data, market trends, and customer feedback to drive business decisions.
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
